Megan Prelinger discuss her newest work
Inside the Machine: Art and Invention in the Electronic Age. There will be time for Q & A after Megan's slideshow/lecture about her research. There will be a book signing afterwards. The Friends of the San Francisco Public Library will offer copies of her book for sale.
About

the author: Megan Prelinger is a former artist in residence at the
Exploratorium and is a co-author, with Rick Prelinger, of five graphic
atlases of Bay Area landscape history that form a permanent exhibit in
the museum. They are both founders of the
Prelinger Library
in San Francisco, an independent research library open to the public,
and is the architect of its information design system. She has also authored
Another Science Fiction: Advertising the Space Race (Blast Books, 2010). Megan also is a naturalist and leads birding walks with San Francisco Nature Education.
